The Learn to Rock Staff Back to Top
All Learn to Rock staff are teachers and/ or practicing professional musicians. Many of the Learn to Rock staff have extensive experience as musicians within the commercial music industry and all Learn to Rock staff teach either on a freelance basis and/ or within educational establishments, e.g. schools and music services.
All Learn to Rock staff under-go an intensive training programme prior to commencing work with Learn to Rock. The training programme has been devised and is continually being developed by practicing musicians, university researchers and music teachers to ensure that the Learn to Rock staff understand and practice the highest standards of teaching in contemporary popular music education.
Following the initial training programme, the Learn to Rock staff engage with a continued professional development programme which addresses theoretical issues and practice in music teaching, practical approaches to teaching popular music and understanding how the popular musician learns. The Learn to Rock staff is also supported in gaining practical training to ensure that practical skills are continually developed.
The Learn to Rock staff are regularly and formally monitored to ensure that the highest levels of teaching and learning are attained.
