All Learn to Rock staff (teaching, support and administrative staff) are checked through the CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) for their suitability to work with children.

Do the students get reports? Back to Top

All the students on the Learn to Rock programme receive a detailed report at the end of each academic year (July). The report outlines the progress and achievements made by the student, student attitude and effort and the staff vision of the potential of the student for each subject studied during the year. In addition, there is a section which outlines the agreed targets for each student during the subsequent year in each subject of study.

The whole Learn to Rock operation is subject to an annual inspection by an independent School Inspection Agency. This allows for the Learn to Rock management team to work in conjunction with the inspection team to monitor and maintain the standards of teaching, learning and leadership, thereby, continuously aspiring to achieve the highest of standards in teaching and learning.

I work for a school. How can I get involved? Back to Top

Learn to Rock will be offering bespoke popular music education packages to primary and secondary schools in the Yorkshire County from September 2009. Unlike the Learn to Rock (11-18), Junior and Adult programmes where the students attend a Learn to Rock designated centre, the school packages can be catered for within individual schools. Any of the areas for study as listed for L2R (11-18), L2R (Juniors) and L2R (adults) can be provided or if a school has a particular request, Learn to Rock can cater for most requests. Some of the bespoke packages already ordered by some schools.
